Planting activity at the Laoag City Landfill
Engr. Marishel Batuac spearheaded a planting activity at the Laoag City Sanitary landfill. A collective effort with the help of her diligent employees from the Office of the City Engineer planted several flowering plants along the sanitary landfill’s boundaries to give life to this wasteland, this effort not only mitigated the environmental impact of the sanitary landfill but also fostered biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.
In the end, this planting event wasn’t just planting trees, it was about hope, it was about showing that no matter how bad things seem. This event inspired others to take action too. It got people thinking about how they could be more eco-friendly in their own lives. And it showed that when we work together, we can make a real difference.
